Annex III §8(a) covers AI used by (or on behalf of) judicial authorities + in ADR. Most private-sector legaltech (contract review, e-discovery) is OUTSIDE §8(a) because the deployer is not a judicial authority — but legaltech sold into courts or ADR providers is squarely in scope.
