Archive · pre-Phase-R narrative

The narrative that led to Phase R. Preserved, not maintained.

These pages were the substrate's outward-facing surface before v1.2 Phase R closeout. They describe the strategic argument (vision, Europe, system) and the supporting machinery (build, evidence, regulators, roadmap, join) the substrate developed on the way to making runtime-AI containment its core product.

They remain accurate to the date they describe and link internally to each other. They are not actively updated — for current state, see the one-page overview (Phase R, v1.2).

Why these are archived, not deleted

The substrate's strategic argument — the European-comeback case, the five-faces consequence, the substrate-as-engine position — remains intact. What changed is which part leads.

Phase R / runtime-AI containment is the first concrete product the substrate is selling. The five faces still flow from one engine, but the operator-pilot door is now a specific door: bring an LLM-in-the-loop feature inside a regulated product; we'll cage it, sign it, and hand you a regulator-verifiable chain. The argument that got there is preserved here; the current positioning lives across five audience-tuned landing pages.
